This section of the website CMS settings enables you to configure your property’s name and contact information, social media and meta details for SEO, tenant reviews for the property, Google Maps directions, etc. The information in this section is vital for potential tenants who may need to reach out with inquiries, book storage Spaces, or find the property’s location; it improves the website’s search visibility and enhances the overall user experience.
To configure your property’s name and address information, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Navigate to Website Settings by clicking the settings icon from the left navigation. Then, select Website by clicking the Hummingbird filter icon from the Settings Dashboard and Name and Address Info from the left navigation.
- Select your property from the drop-down list to view and configure associated website settings.
- You will see all the details, such as contact information, social media, and SEO-related details, along with reviews related to your property. You can make the required changes here so they can be reflected on your website.
Note: Once you change any configurations in Website settings, ensure to click the Save button and then clear the website cache every time for the changes to reflect on your self-storage website. Property Information
- Property Name - Name of your self-storage property.
- Property Legal Corporation Name - The official legal name of the corporation or entity that owns or operates the self-storage property. This name accurately reflects the registered business entity, as it appears on legal documents and contracts.
- Property DBA (Doing Business As) Name - This applies when the self-storage property operates under a name different from its legal entity name. The DBA name is the name your visitors may be more familiar with and see in marketing materials or signages.
Note: By default, the Property DBA Name is displayed on the website. Suppose no name is specified in the Property Legal Corporation Name or Property DBA Name fields. In that case, the name mentioned in the Property Name field automatically appears on the self-storage website.

- BI Code - The Business ID code is an identifier unique to each property used for administrative, regulatory, or operational purposes.
- Phone - The phone number associated with the property that allows visitors to easily reach out for inquiries, reservations, and assistance.
- New Customer Phone - If you require a separate phone number to be displayed on the website for new customers, you have the ability to do so by mentioning the phone number here. Having a separate new customer phone number allows for better customer segmentation, targeted communication strategies, and the ability for call centers to offer dedicated support tailored to the needs of new customers.
- SMS Phone - If your property has a separate phone number for receiving and sending SMS to existing tenants, mention that here.
Note: The communications on the SMS Phones for existing and new customers are not stored in Hummingbird’s Communication Centre as they are not tied to any Twilio numbers. Only the communications from the property’s primary phone number, i.e., the one specified in the “Phone” field, are captured in the Communication Center.
- New Customer SMS Phone - The phone number on which new customers can send SMS to your property.
- Property Email - The email address associated with your property for communication purposes. If a property’s domain is registered, then this email will be displayed as the “From” email address in all communications that are sent out.
- Website - The self-storage property’s website URL that appears on the lease.

The Reviews section on the self-storage website enables customers to view and submit reviews or testimonials about their experiences with the self-storage property.
- Google Place ID - A unique identifier assigned by Google to a specific location on Google Maps. This ID can be used to retrieve information on reviews.
- Yelp Business ID - A unique identification URL for your business registered on Yelp. This Yelp URL is retrieved from the Yelp website or API and is primarily used to get reviews for your business.
Note: The Google and Yelp IDs are provided by the Tenant Onboarding team, but you can retrieve them yourself as well. For the Google Place ID, visit ‘https://developers.google.com/places/place-id’, enter the property address, and search. For the Yelp ID, visit ‘www.yelp.com’, enter the property name and location, and search.
You can manually sync reviews from the integrated websites by clicking the Sync Reviews button on the CMS Settings page. This is required for properties that are relatively new and have not been associated with a Place ID so far or those that do not have a Place ID mentioned in the Website Settings. For such properties, you can add the respective ID(s) and manually trigger the reviews to be pulled to the website via the Sync Reviews button.
