How can we help?
Website Storage Types Settings (Corporate Feature Pages)
The Storage Type pages on the website are enhanced to function as Corporate feature pages, making it easier for users to find properties with their desired features and amenities. These pages list properties with the selected feature and are organized by state. Users can click a property link to go to the property’s landing page and rent storage.
Corporate feature pages improve the user experience by guiding them to properties that meet their needs, support targeted marketing efforts, and boost SEO through strategic internal and external linking.
You can create pages on the website based on different categories of storage spaces available for rent, each offering unique features and serving specific purposes. These storage types cater to a range of customer needs—such as personal storage, vehicle or boat storage, climate-controlled units for temperature-sensitive items, wine storage, and more.
A well-structured Storage Types section highlights the special features that set your property apart from competitors and helps attract customers with specific storage requirements.
To configure the corporate feature pages for your self-storage website, follow the steps mentioned below:
- Navigate to Website Settings and Storage Types from the left navigation.
- You can see a list of existing pages with their Title, Slug, Status, and Publish Date. You can view or modify the details pertaining to a storage type page by clicking it. If a page is no longer required, you can delete it from the corresponding vertical ellipsis.
- To add a new feature page and publish it on the website, click +Add New Storage Type.
Note: Once you change or add any configurations, ensure to click the Save button and then clear the website cache every time for the changes to reflect on the website. You can clear the cache by navigating to Clear Cache from the left navigation and clicking the Clear Cache button. You will receive a success message once the cache is successfully cleared.
Content
Page Header
- Title (H1 Tag) - The main heading that introduces and summarizes the content of a storage type page. This title is intended to capture readers' attention and entice them to click through and read the contained information.
- Slug - The part of a URL (Uniform Resource Locator) that uniquely identifies a specific storage type page on a website in a readable and meaningful way. It typically appears at the end of the URL after the main domain name. For example, https://www.example.com/Storage-type. In this URL, "/Storage-type" is the page slug. Slugs play a vital role in defining the web address for each page and ensuring the site is both user- and SEO-friendly.
- Related Features and Amenities - You can link the storage type page to a specific feature or amenity. This helps visitors quickly understand the main feature pertaining to a storage type. For example, associate climate-controlled storage with the ‘climate control’ feature, vehicle storage with ‘Canopy Parking, enclosed RV storage, or indoor vehicle storage’, etc., based on the features and amenities at your properties.
Based on these linked features and amenities, the corresponding properties will automatically appear on the relevant Storage Type page on your website, improving both user experience and discoverability.
Note: The Related Features and Amenities appear based on the configurations in the Hours and Amenities section of website settings, rather than from the features assigned to individual spaces. This is because using the assigned features requires the use of space groups, which are only supported in the new templates. Relying on the Hours and Amenities settings ensures compatibility with both the default and new website templates.

After adding a Video ID, you can click Preview to see how the page will appear on the website once it goes live.

- Meta Title - The HTML title tag that specifies the title of a webpage and appears as a clickable headline in search engine results pages (SERPs). The meta title should accurately describe the content of the storage type page and include relevant keywords to improve search engine visibility.
- Meta Keywords - Specific meta tags located in the HTML head section of a webpage containing a list of keywords that represent the content of the page for search engines.
